This Warner Bros. short features the first pairing of Thomas (later renamed Sylvester the Cat) and Tweety Bird, as Sylvester attempts to catch and eat Tweety. The short won an Oscar and spawned many sequels.

Thomas the cat finds Tweety in the snow, warming himself by a cigar butt. Thomas’ owner saves the little yellow bird before the cat can devour him, but Thomas doesn’t give up.
