Hungry Mexican mice want to steal cheese from a cheese factory guarded by Sylvester the cat, so they send for Speedy Gonzales, the fastest mouse in all of Mexico.
Despite its popularity, the cartoon has also been criticized for perpetuating racial stereotypes and caricatures of Mexican people. In recent years, some television networks have removed the cartoon from their programming due to concerns about its cultural insensitivity.
