On Lake Herastrau, you can board the Cernica boat, a vessel built in 1965 and completely restored in 2014 according to European standards. A bike ride from Splaiul Unirii to Herăstrău Park is an urban experience for the whole family. The cycle track is physically separated from auto traffic and distinct from the sidewalk, so it can be safely traveled with children. It follows Victoriei Avenue to Victoriei Square, from where there are 2 route options to Herăstrău Park, either on Aviatorilor Boulevard or on Kiseleff Boulevard, with lanes painted on the sidewalk. At the destination, you can choose to relax by the lake or enjoy a snack or ice cream at Roaba de Cultură.
Be prepared for a ride of approximately 40-60 minutes, depending on the pace, without considering any stops along the way. Make sure your bicycles are in good condition and wear protective equipment for a safe and enjoyable experience.
